DOWN THE ROAD FARM

"Down the Road Farm is a small, intensively managed market farm in New Lexington, Ohio, started in 2013, using ecological practices to grow cut flowers, vegetables, and strawberries. We grow and harvest everything by hand on a small portion of our wooded 12 acre farm in the rolling hills of southeast Ohio and sell it locally at markets in Lancaster, Newark, and now Zanesville! We use no hazardous synthetic chemical herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers and never any genetically engineered seed. We don't want to be around them, and we don't want our customers to be around them either! We use cover crops, physical barriers, rotations, mulch, compost, hand-weeding, and other natural methods to manage weeds and pests and improve soil fertility. Biodiverse farms with healthy soil grow resilient plants and nutritious food. "
